Forward Unto Dawn The roar of my vehicles overworked engine shattered the calm of the silent, deserted neighborhood. I barely glanced at the upcoming stop sign as I floor the accelerator through the empty intersection, swerving slightly to avoid a stalled minivan halfway across the street. Normally, this complete disregard for traffic safety laws would be a surefire way to getting yourself a ticket, or at the very least a stern verbal warning from the local police. However, today was not a normal day. Any policemen for miles around are probably halfway across the country by now.Forward Unto Dawn

A faint melody drifts in through the open window of my apartment. The music barely cuts through noise from the intersection four stories down, only audible if youre listening for it. If I had to have guessed, Id say the music Im hearing is coming from a neighbors radio they left on or something. It sounds like a cello, or some other stringed instrument. However, I play guitar, so Im not really an expert on orchestra instruments. My guitar is actually how I noticed the music in the first place.
